Did you try a system restore or using the previous usb driver?
Run Window Updates to get all the latest usb hot fixes. You may also want to install the hotfix here (It’s a different problem but it may be related to yours)
Hmmm I think the problem is wish your USB driver. Its better to uninstall the USB driver by typing devmgmt.msc in the start->run… there select the lowest chile in the tree and right click all the usb leaf and uninstall the driver. then right click the root and give scan for hardware changes. It will reinstall your USB ports. I hope this will work.
